SKILL AUTO COMPETITOR REGISTRAION OPENS IN 2 WEEKS
Colleges, training providers and employers can nominate their students, employees and apprentices to the Skill Auto National competition on the 1st March 2018 via the World Skills UK website –

NEW this year, we have lifted the restrictions on how many can be entered. As of the 1st March 2018, colleges, employers and training providers can enter as many students or employees as they wish in the following streams –
- Light Vehicle Technology
- Refinishing
- Body Repair
- Heavy Vehicle Engineering
Nominees must be studying towards a Level 3 Qualification or to have completed their Level 3 qualification within the past 12 months. There is also no age limit for competitors.
Also NEW to the 2018 competition cycle – Light Vehicle Technology nominees will now be invited to a local centre to complete the online test. Once registered, they will receive an email from the Skill Auto team which will provide further details with dates.
Successful nominees will then be invited to attend one day at one of our prestigious venues on the following dates –
- Refinishing hosted at 3M Technical Centre – 30th May till 1st June
- LV Technology hosted at Henry Ford Academy – 11th – 15th June
- Body Repair hosted at Nationwide Training and Development Centre – 27th – 29th June
- Heavy Vehicle Engineering hosted at Scania – 18th – 20th July
THE COMPEITITON DOESNT HAVE TO STOP THERE…
You could have the opportunity to represent the UK in your skill. If you successfully compete at the National finals and are age eligible, the possibilities could be endless!
